⬇ Go to the texture
After concrete and oak comes sheet metal. Rusty Corrugated Metal 01 is the first texture in the new Metal category: rusted corrugated iron with flaking paint, bare patches, rivets and a visible panel seam. One tile covers 0.988 × 0.988 m.
The corrugation is real, not painted
On many corrugated iron textures the wave is just a light and dark stripe in the image. As soon as the light comes in flat, you can see the surface is plain. Here the waves are computed and written into the height, normal and AO maps: 13 waves per tile, 76 mm pitch, 18 mm deep. In raking light the sheet casts shadows even when the camera looks along it.

This is what the texture looks like tiled four times: two by two, no seam in between. Rivets and the panel seam repeat visibly, and that is on purpose — on a real hall the seams sit in a grid too.
Rust is no longer metal
Metallic sits in the blue channel of the packed ARM map. Bare patches sit at 0.04, rusted areas well below that, because rust throws light back differently than steel does. If you work without the ARM, set metallic low by hand, otherwise the rust shines like fresh galvanising.
What is in the package
Six maps per resolution: diffuse, normal in OpenGL convention, roughness, ambient occlusion, displacement as 16-bit PNG and the packed ARM. Colour maps as JPG at quality 95, normal and displacement lossless as PNG. Each resolution is its own download at the same price, 22, 70 and 238 MB. For DirectX engines such as Unreal, flip the green channel of the normal map. The displacement strength in the viewer is 18 mm, the real depth of the corrugation.
Look before you download. A sphere with real displacement turns on the product page. Next to it are three images: the texture flat and tiled 2 × 2, the maps side by side, and the clay sphere with only the relief.
Where the texture comes from
An image model produced it as our own design after a CC0 photo reference from Poly Haven; we made it tileable ourselves afterwards. The remaining maps are derived from our diffuse, the corrugation geometry is computed, and 8K is an upscale from the native 4K. The product page and the README in the package say the same.
What it is for
Sheds, silo skirting, site fencing, workshop roofs, anything that went up quickly on a yard and has been standing there ever since. Cracked Concrete 01 from the Concrete category pairs with it, because a rusted sheet usually hangs on a concrete wall.
Coming next: a bare, unrusted corrugated sheet as its own product, plus brick and ground textures. Update from 24 September: the stone one is here — Cobblestone 01, setted paving at 1.5 m per tile and the only one of our textures with a native 8K. Update from 25 September: the galvanised sheet is here too — Corrugated Metal 01, corrugated metal at 0.684 m per tile with nine computed waves. Tell us in the forum which surface you are missing.
