⬇ Go to the texture
After concrete, oak and sheet metal comes stone. Cobblestone 01 is the first texture in the new Stone category: rounded natural cobbles laid in courses, with moss and soil in the joints. One tile covers 1.5 × 1.5 m.
Why this tile is larger than the others
Cobbles are small. If the tile sat at one metre like the concrete one, a farm entrance would repeat the same arrangement of stones every hundred centimetres, and you would see it. At 1.5 m there are enough stones in frame that the repeat does not jump out in game. The file is bigger in return — that is the trade we made here deliberately.

This is what the texture looks like tiled four times: two by two, no seam in between. A few distinctive stones are recognisable in the grid if you look for them. On a real street the laying pattern repeats in much the same way.
30 millimetres of height, and they are real
Displacement sits at 30 mm, deeper than any other texture we sell. Cobbles genuinely dome, and in raking light every single one casts its shadow into the joint. The height map ships as a 16-bit PNG with around 60,000 distinguishable steps instead of the 256 an 8-bit image allows. At this depth of relief that is the difference between a rounded dome and visible stepping across the stone.
Here 8K is the source, not the target
On our first three textures the 8K is an upscale from the native 4K — the product pages say so, because we would rather tell you than have you find out while zooming in. Cobblestone 01 works the other way round: the source already existed at 8192 pixels. The 8K package is therefore the original resolution, and the 4K is scaled down from it — the pick we recommend for normal use.
What is in the package
Six maps per resolution: diffuse, normal in OpenGL convention, roughness, ambient occlusion, displacement as 16-bit PNG and the packed ARM. Colour maps as JPG at quality 95, normal and displacement lossless as PNG. Each resolution is its own download at the same price, 23, 84 and 281 MB. For DirectX engines such as Unreal, flip the green channel of the normal map.
Look before you download. A sphere with real displacement turns on the product page. Next to it are three images: the texture flat and tiled 2 × 2, the maps side by side, and the clay sphere with only the relief.
Where the texture comes from
This one differs from its three predecessors: there is no AI in it. The source is a CC0 photograph from Poly Haven that already existed at a native 8192 pixels and has been left unaltered. We brought the maps into our naming scheme and derived the remaining ones in Blender from the source diffuse; the height came from the 16-bit original rather than the JPG beside it. That is why this product page carries no AI label — we put that where it belongs, not everywhere just in case.
What it is for
Farm entrances, village lanes, the apron in front of the barn, service tracks between old buildings. Cracked Concrete 01 from the Concrete category pairs with it, because paving almost always runs up against a concrete base, and so does the Bistro Table if you want a pavement café out of it.
Coming next: brick and ground textures, plus a bare, unrusted corrugated sheet. Update from 25 September: the sheet is here — Corrugated Metal 01, galvanised, with first traces of rust at the cross seam. Tell us in the forum which surface you are missing.
