Short answers to the questions that come up most.

Do I need an account to download Mining Layers?

Yes — a free account. Mining Layers itself stays free forever; the account is what lets us log downloads and keep a legitimate distribution channel.

Why do I need a Download Key?

The key ties your copy to your account. That way a re-upload can be traced back. It does nothing else. It costs nothing, it comes with every account, and the check runs offline inside the game.

Why is part of the code in the zip encrypted?

Because our Mining Layers script turned up on shady sites with the code altered, run by people making money off it. What is encrypted is the mod's own gameplay code, nothing else. It is not a program: no .exe, no .dll, just Lua, XML and images. The mod makes no calls to the internet and collects no data.

What does a membership unlock?

The 1Hall4All XL Pack, the Director's Cut and early builds. Every plan includes the same benefits — only the term differs.

Can other modders publish here?

Yes. Creators keep their name, their link, and a share of membership revenue once the creator program launches (Stage 3). See the Partners page.

Is Dig With Anything a script?

No — it's gameplay you see in the truck bed: grapples that take from the barge, hold, and dump, with real material loss. Never sold as a background script.
