FS25 Dig With Anything V1: any tipper builds terrainDie Fritte Playz

What it does

Grapples take from the barge, hold, dump into the truck — and lose material when you slew too fast.

Every tool shows up on the equipment list with its own icon, an ESC page with a store image, manufacturer and mod name, and a reload chip.

Automatic grapple detection reads a machine's i3dMappings — most clamshell grapples work without hand-tuning.

This is gameplay you see in the truck bed, not a script running in the background.

Changelog

1.0.24.0Works again with Farming Simulator 25 patch 1.24. The update blocked a function DWA needed to start. Your Download Key stays valid, just install the new version.
1.0.23.0Your Download Key is now also found in the folder the game loads your mods from, for example with the FSG Mod Assistant. Your existing key keeps working.
1.0.22.0First full release, free with a Download Key: get the key at no cost with a fsmodworks.com account, drop the .xml into your mods folder and restart. New: tipper profile — trucks and trailers without their own TerraFarm entry become TerraFarm-capable automatically and can be switched off per vehicle on the ESC page; vehicles whose mod already ships TerraFarm inline are left untouched and marked as such. The ESC list answers first whether a tool works with TerraFarm and who provides it, with filters, a search box and an X key that switches TerraFarm on or off for tools hanging from a hook. HUD hint when a trailer has to be selected first. In-game texts in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Portuguese. Rollers and compactors are detected as well and get a TerraFarm compactor profile, flatten, smooth and paint, with the drum width measured from the mod itself; they smooth with the tool switched off, so a chopper roller no longer leaves cultivator stripes. Small base-game tippers whose first configuration has no tip side, like the Salek ANS-1900, the Farmtech DDK 2400 and EDK 650 and the Brantner DD 24073, are found too. TerraFarm's per-machine Enabled switch is turned on at load and from the ESC page, and area bindings are released so machines dig and dump anywhere again; TerraFarm's own area key brings the binding back. If the mod core does not load, your Download Key belongs to an older release: fetch a fresh one in your account. Development continues in the Director's Cut: from the hole to the finished road.
0.3.7.0Machines from mods that bring their own vehicle type are recognised at last — the scan used to look up the bare type name and walked past them. Carriers no longer clutter the list: an excavator undercarriage never becomes a machine, only the tool on it does.
0.3.6.0Configs on by default, status line on the tool, HUD chip can be switched off. Bucket-size deformation defaults, correct machine type for excavator attachments, and TerraFarm settings reachable for tools that dangle from a hook.
0.3.5Phase 1–3 on main: registrar, grapple zones, material loss, HUD chips, ESC page, automatic grapple detection.

Questions and answers

Dig With Anything: I use FSG Mod Assistant or several mod folders. Where does the key file go?

Put the key file (.xml) once into Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/modSettings/FSMW/ (create the FSMW folder yourself). It then works for every mod folder, even when FSG Mod Assistant switches folders. If the key file sits in your mods folder, FSG Mod Assistant lists it as "Not a mod". That is normal, please don't delete it.

I switched a machine type on in Dig With Anything, but nothing happens. Do I have to restart?

Only for machines that were already standing in your world before you switched the type on — those get the TerraFarm ability on the next load. A disk symbol and a line of text on the page tell you exactly that. Anything you buy afterwards works right away, and selling and re-buying a machine is quicker than restarting the game.

The Dig With Anything Z menu does nothing on a grapple hanging from a hook. What now?

Open ESC > Dig With Anything and press C. That opens TerraFarm's machine settings directly. Tools that dangle from a hook are never „selected“ by the game, so Z cannot reach them — C is the way in, not a confirmation step. This works for any tool you cannot select, including ones from other TerraFarm packs: Dig With Anything fixes that menu access as well. Normal attachments keep Z as usual.

My excavator barely digs anything with Dig With Anything. Is the mod broken?

Almost always the ground deformation radius, not the mod. TerraFarm ships every machine with a 2 m brush, and a 2 m brush under a large excavator cuts slits. Since 0.3.6 we set radius and strength to match the bucket size — but only if you have not changed them yourself. Your own settings are never touched.

Which machines does Dig With Anything support?

Any clamshell grapple, without a version per machine. The mod recognises one by its shape: a controllable moving tool with rotation limits, a span of at least 30 degrees, and a mirrored dependent tool with the same span. That rule came out of a scan across all 346 installed mods, so a grapple released tomorrow works without an update here.

Do I need a Dig With Anything config file for my machine?

No. Nineteen configs ship with the mod, all tested in game, eight of them for FS Miner machines. Everything else is picked up on the store scan and listed under ESC > Dig With Anything, where you switch it on yourself — since 0.3.7 that includes machines from mods that bring their own vehicle type, which the scan used to walk past. On our test set of 165 mods the list grew from 50 entries to 122.

Does Dig With Anything work in multiplayer?

Yes, server-side, and that has been tested.

Why does material fall out of the grapple in Dig With Anything when I slew?

That is the material loss setting. On “normal” working calmly keeps the material and yanking it around loses it. On “realistic” even brisk slewing or a slight tilt makes it trickle out — close the jaws fully if you want to keep it all. Over water it falls back into the barge.

Do I need TerraFarm for Dig With Anything?

Yes. For the barge transfer it is enough that TerraFarm is installed — it does not have to be activated on the machine itself.

Does Dig With Anything work in Farming Simulator 25?

Yes. Dig With Anything is built for Farming Simulator 25 (FS25), and that is the game it runs in.

Important — please read

Where does the Download Key go?

Put the downloaded .xml file into your mods folder — the same folder your mod zips live in (Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods). On the next game start the mod picks it up and stores it permanently under modSettings/FSMW/, where it survives every mod update. Nothing to type, nothing to rename.

You can also put the file straight into modSettings/FSMW/ — you will have to create that folder yourself.

Why at all: the key ties your copy to your account, so a re-upload can be traced back. Part of the code in the zip is encrypted for the same reason — the gameplay logic. Not a program, no .exe, no internet access. More in the FAQ
