Mining Layers 1.7.2.0 — new version, new Download Key

New version = new Download Key. Your current key does not work with 1.7.2.0. Get a new one under Account → Download Keys — free, one click — and put the .xml next to the mod. Without the new key, 1.7.2.0 stays inactive in game and says so in the log. You do not need to delete the old key file — the mod picks the newest one.

Free account, free key, as before. If you play 1.6.5.0 you can stay on it — the old key keeps working with the old version. If you want 1.7.2.0 you need both fresh: the zip and the key.

1.7.2.0 is the final version of the free Mining Layers. It stays free and stays as it is. Development continues in Mining Layers V2 Director's Cut — transition band, material hardness with caprock, yield, editor, mixed bucket loads — for members.

What's new since 1.6.5

• Excavator dump guard. Freshly dug ground no longer falls back into the pit when the bucket dumps too close to the edge: from 30 cm above ground the mod blocks dumping for excavator buckets. Wheel loaders and dozers are not affected. Can be switched off in the config (excavatorDumpGuard = 0). Built against TerraFarm 1.6.5.0.
• Reworked key check. The mod checks the Download Key more strictly and more cleanly than before — hence the new key. What that means internally is in the changelog; for you it means: get a new key once, done.
• Quality fixes from the review round of 8 September, the same ones that went into Dig With Anything 0.3.8. Update from 24 September: 0.3.8 has since become Dig With Anything V1, free with a Download Key, and any tipper builds terrain with it.
