FS25 Gold Kettenrad V1: gold on tracks

🔑 Important: download your Download Key too! Many people grab only the zip and forget the key. Without it the Kettenrad and the trailer stay locked. Both are on the mod page, and the key (the .xml) goes right next to the zip in your mods folder.

Three days ago it was a render. Now it drives: a rebuilt Kettenkrad with a chopper fork at the front and a tipping bed at the back. It looks like someone bolted a motorcycle onto a small dump truck. That was the plan all along.

Originally it was just going to be the Kettenrad. Then we asked ourselves what a Kettenrad without a trailer really is: a motorcycle with ambitions. So we built a trailer after all. Simply because it looks better. And because gold hates walking.

What it does

The front wheel steers, the tracks push. 72 hp and a CVT take it to 50 km/h. We doubled the engine after testing so it still climbs the hill fully loaded with gold. The bed takes 300 litres of bulk or a gold bar pallet across it. It tips backwards, and the tailgate with the FSMW logo swings open by itself. Speedometer and rev counter sit in the cockpit, and the horn is loud. If you haul gold, people should hear you coming.

The trailer

The Gold Kettenrad Trailer runs on tracks too, and it sounds like it. It takes 600 litres or two gold bar pallets, which you lash with L (the game's tension belt key). It tips backwards and has a support wheel and rear lights. The drawbar is 1.40 metres long, so the pair doesn't drive in circles when you turn.

14 colours at the dealer

The Kettenrad and the trailer each come in four paints (gloss black, white, red, green) and ten camo patterns of our own: Flecktarn, Woodland, Desert, Urban, Winter Red, Marine, Desert Orange, Autumn, Sky Blue and Snow Grey. You pick the colour for each vehicle separately. In the shop the Kettenrad costs 45,000 and the trailer 25,000.

Good to know

V1 is singleplayer for now. The Kettenrad is built for the gold bar pallet from the FSMW Gold Trader and the Insane Swim Dredge, but it hauls normal bulk just as happily. How it started as a concept is in the concept news.

We still have a few ideas, like an engine hatch and an interchangeable body. What you would like on it belongs in the forum or on our Discord. The Kettenrad has only just started driving.
