FS25 Gold Kettenrad V2 Director's Cut is out

🔑 Important: download your Download Key too! Many people grab only the zip and forget the key. Without it the Kettenrad and the trailer stay locked. Both are on the mod page, and the key (the .xml) goes next to the zip in your mods folder.

V2 Director's Cut for members, V1 now free for everyone. As promised: with the release of the V2, the FSMW Gold Kettenrad V1 is free for everyone from today. A free account on fsmodworks.com is all you need. Current version of the V2: 2.0.0.0.

The V1 had one small catch: it stood on borrowed parts. The vehicle base, the fork and the headlights came from other people's models. So we got the ruler out, measured everything and threw the old meshes away. What you drive now is our own build, bolt by bolt. That is why it is called the Director's Cut: same idea, same chrome, same gold bars, this time all ours.

What is new

The fork is new. The steering head tube sits right on the steering axis, and the brake line is clamped along the fork leg all the way to the caliper. The hull is new too, with a 47° slope at the front and the back, and bearing blocks hold every axle. In the cockpit the gear knobs are round and chrome now.

The tracks have two layers now: steel shoes underneath, rubber pads on top. And on the right of the bed there is a holder for your chainsaw. Sometimes you have to move a tree before you find the gold.

The trailer

The trailer got the same treatment: its own tracks and road wheels, a hull slanted like the Kettenrad's, and the mud flaps hang under the bed exactly like on the Kettenrad.

And the V1?

From today it belongs to everyone, and as a parting gift it got the new chopper engine sound of the V2 (version 0.1.21.0). If you want a first taste, grab the Gold Kettenrad V1 with a free account. If you want the full custom build, take the V2. Both run side by side, so you do not have to choose.

The Kettenrad is still built for the gold bar pallet from the FSMW Gold Trader and the Insane Swim Dredge. Anything you run into belongs in the forum or on our Discord.

Never stop hunting gold.
