1.7.2.0 is the last version of the free Mining Layers. It stays free, it stays as it is, and it needs a new Download Key — you get it in your account, free, one click. The old key file can stay in the folder; the mod picks the newest.
Why stop here? Because the free version has reached what I set out to build: layers that hold, a spoil mode, the grade lock, eight languages, and now the excavator dump guard. Everything from here on — transition band, material hardness with caprock, yield, the editor, mixed bucket loads — goes into Mining Layers V2 Director's Cut, and that one is for members. Two months full-time have gone into this; the members are what makes the next two possible.
What that means for you:
- Free version: download and key stay free at fsmodworks.com/en/mods/mining-layers. Bug reports for 1.7.2.0 still belong in this board — I read them.
- No more free updates. New features land in V2 Director's Cut only.
- Members: the Director's Cut, the members' Discord with pre-release builds, polls and pictures from the build — what's included.
Thank you to everyone who tested, reported and pushed this thing along. See you in the pit.
